We all have a story. Our lives are shaped by unique experiences that color our perspectives and influence how we navigate the world. Whether you've faced a challenging childhood, endured prolonged periods of stress, or experienced profound pain, these experiences shape us. Have you ever felt like you're not living up to your full potential? Do you wonder what life could be like if you overcame the doubts holding you back? Do you feel like you have tried everything, but something is still missing and you can't put your finger on it?
I am deeply passionate about helping women learn how to build confidence, overcome self-doubt, and discover their authentic voice. No matter the circumstances you've faced, it's possible you're living a diminished version of your true self. I know because I've been there.
My journey includes a successful 30-year career climbing the corporate ladder, where I spent the last seven years shaping a group of motivated individuals into a high-performing team, from the ground up. We created a truly unique culture of teamwork, efficiency, and high-value contribution to our organization. It was here that my gifts of attunement, encouragement, and motivation were fully realized. But my story didn’t start there…
My story began as an English teacher, fresh out of college, standing in a high school classroom. I loved teaching and enjoyed my students, but I struggled with self-doubt, people-pleasing and perfection. I was overwhelmed with the volume of papers to grade, keeping order in my classes, and managing the expectations of parents. After a few years, I felt like a failure and decided to get a corporate job as an administrative assistant.
I moved from job to job for many years, slowly advancing, but always taking jobs below my skill level. This subconscious approach allowed me to over perform, which offset my self-doubt and fear of failure. On the surface, I appeared to have it all together, but internally, I still felt miserable. Deep down I knew I was capable of more, but there was a parched, hard crust of earth keeping me trapped and in the dark. Then one day, my General Manager offered me a new opportunity. I expressed my doubts and told him I didn’t think I was the right person for the job. Without hesitation, he said, “Kristy, I’m giving you this opportunity because I have observed your work ethic. You are organized, resourceful and treat confidential information with integrity. Think about it and give me your answer in the morning.” That night, a pivotal shift took place within me. It’s as if his words penetrated the parched earth, loosened the soil and watered the seeds in me that had been dormant for so long. He saw gifts in me that I hadn’t been able to see in myself. I said yes to the opportunity, and my gifts began to flourish.
This began a journey of understanding myself better. I noticed that I excelled at collaboration and building relationships between teams. When a management position opened, I applied. I used my natural talent for bringing people together to achieve success on multiple projects. My successes led to a promotion to the director level… and honestly my next challenge! Until this time, I was able to manage my workload by working harder and longer. But at this new level, I was overwhelmed with the scope of responsibility and added pressure. I spent the following years feeling resentful and angry at what I perceived was unfair and out of my control, which led to my next growth spurt.
I realized that the only thing I could control was myself. I saw that my people-pleasing tendencies were causing me to take on more work than was possible, and I was afraid to delegate to my team for fear of overloading and upsetting them. I was shouldering the burden and doing what I thought was expected, but I was killing myself, and I wasn’t being effective as a leader. With this awareness, I began tilling the inner soil again. It wasn’t easy for me, but I began making important changes for myself. I took a more holistic approach of listening to my logic, emotions and intuition. I found my voice and learned how to set boundaries. I began a new journey of trusting myself, and that development work positioned me to build and lead a dynamic team. But the greatest transformation happened when I learned about resilience from Leah Davidson and began applying the practices for myself. This was the pivotal key that was missing for me all along.
Just as a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly, I believe every woman has the potential to emerge from her challenges more beautiful and resilient than before. Through my coaching program, I empower women to reclaim their confidence, embrace their true selves, and create the life they've always dreamed of.
I'm deeply committed to helping women uncover and express their unique gifts. As a certified professional coach (CPC) through the IPEC coaching school, an ELI Master Practitioner (ELI-MP), and a Core Dynamics Specialist across several disciplines, my expertise is broad and well-founded. My specialization in nervous system resilience, fostered under the tutelage of Leah Davidson through her intensive 6-month course, equips me with unique tools to support your journey.
It took me a quarter of a century to fully embrace my potential, but you don’t have to wait that long! Change is daunting, yet remaining in a state of dissatisfaction is even more so. I view life as a collection of journeys, each offering us opportunities to grow and refine our gifts. While there's no magic solution to our challenges (despite my extensive search!), facing our obstacles and committing to inner transformation can unlock our true potential. Let me guide you through the steps necessary for profound personal change.
